How to Import Trades from NinjaTrader 7/8 Instructions to TradesViz Step-by-Step Guide

Quick Start


To import your file from NinjaTrader 7/8 Instructions, visit https://tradesviz.com/import/.

Use the first dropdown to choose your trading account and the second dropdown to choose NinjaTrader 7/8 Instructions.


You can also open Import/Export from your profile menu in the top-right corner.


Broker-Specific Instructions


NinjaTrader 7/8 Instructions

Currently Supported:


  • Futures
  • Stocks
  • Forex


NT8 Instructions:


  1. In the control center, click on the "Executions" tab
  2. Now wait for the orders to be populated and right click inside the window and select "Export"
  3. Export to CSV and Upload this file by clicking on the "Choose File" box in this page.



Alternative:


  1. In the control center, click on the "NEW" at the top and then on "Trade Performance"
  2. In the display dropdown, click on Executions and select the date range and click Generate
  3. Right click anywhere in the execution rows and export to CSV
  4. Upload this file by clicking on the "Choose File" box in this page.

 



Alternative (USE ONLY if you cannot export from Executions tab):


  1. In the control center, click on the "Report" tab
  2. Now wait for the trades to be populated and right click inside the window and select "Export"
  3. Export to CSV and Upload this file by clicking on the "Choose File" box in this page.



Other versions:


  1. In the NinjaTrader control center, click on "Account performance"/"Trade performance"/"Trader Summary" (based on your NinjaTrader version)
  2. Now choose date, account and other filters so that NinjaTrader fetches all your executions
  3. After the data has been loaded by NinjaTrader, click on the dropdown at the top right and click "Executions"
  4. You will now see a list of all executions - right click anywhere and click on "Export"/"Save as" and make note of where you saved the CSV file
  5. Upload this file by clicking on the "Choose File" box in this page.



Web version:


  1. Log into your NinjaTrader account online and click on the user profile icon at the top right corner and then select "Statements"
  2. Select the desired date range, choose "Fills" as report type and click on "Download CSV"
  3. Upload this file by clicking on the "Choose File" box in this page.

Troubleshooting


  • Follow the exact export format shown below for your broker.
  • If import fails, re-export a fresh file and try again.
  • Ensure required columns are present and headers are unchanged.
