- Login on to your TradingView account
- Launch any technical chart
- At the bottom, click on "Paper trading" (or relevant tab with your trading info in it)
- Click on "History" tab and click on the 3 dots icon on the rightmost corner of the table and make sure all columns are checked and are visible in the table.
- Now click on the dropdown that has the TradingView logo (or relevant platform's logo through which you are trading)
- Now select "Export data"
- In the popup that appears, click on "History" and click "Export"
- Upload the CSV file by clicking on the "Choose File" box in this page.
Note: Please make sure your export file has the columns in English. Here is an image that can help you identify the correct page.
Note: If you see incorrect pnl or open position, it is likely due to missing data in the file. TradingView continually deletes older data so you csv might not have ALL the data.
Therefore, if you do see open positions or wrong pnl after import, open your CSV file and check the last few rows to see if it has complete information for that date. If not, delete those rows for that incomplete date and import again.
Note: TradingView backtester file exports (XLSX) are now supported.
Troubleshooting
- Follow the exact export format shown below for your broker.
- If import fails, re-export a fresh file and try again.
- Ensure required columns are present and headers are unchanged.

Why does my import fail?
Most import failures happen due to changed export format, missing columns, or custom-edited files.

Yes. Export the date range you want from your broker and import that file into TradesViz.
