Guide

It has been almost 3 years since TradesViz's official mobile app was launched, and it's long overdue for a refresh and update!

Updated TradesViz v2.0 app is now out for both iOS and Android!

Android:

Apple:

What have we updated?

  • Completely revamped UI
  • Added more charts and stats (R-value, best exit, MFE/MAE etc.,)
  • Added new tabs (includes Notes tab)
  • Added ability to sync existing broker connections
  • Added ability to import data from 200+ brokers
  • Better handling of local cache and start/restart of app now auto refreshes data
  • Light/Dark mode toggle now available in settings

The idea and the purpose of the mobile app is to serve as an *easy* and seamless way to access and view your trading metrics, notes, and also sync data on the go.

We do not expect or plan to have 100% feature parity with the desktop version, as that is not our goal. The TradesViz mobile app at the moment is *still* the most capable trade journaling app in the entire iOS/Android market. Moreover, our desktop version (website) is also highly mobile optimized to the point where a lot of users are now using custom dashboards on mobile itself.

One of the most requested features was the ability to sync broker connections and view notes - both of these have been added in the v2.0 app.

Important notes:

  1. If you are having issues with loading data, swipe to the left-most screen, reset all filters, and choose an appropriate calendar range. If you still don't see any data, swipe to the right-most screen > select logout > login again. If you are still not able to see anything, try force-closing the app and re-opening it.
  2. If you are using iOS and if you use Google login on the main TradesViz website, you need to create a password to log into the app by visiting www.tradesviz.com/login > click on forgot password to generate a new password. You can then use the password for app login and continue to use Google sign-in for the website.
  3. You can add trade, edit trade, and add notes/tags/images in the app. You cannot add advanced features like trade plans, etc., via the app.

Do let us know your feedback and feature requests by emailing us at support@tradesviz.com! We hope this enhances your journaling experience, regardless of the device you are using.
